Meet the Maker

Hello candle friends! My name is Stacy Pollantis and I am the owner and maker of CandleWorks by Stacia. I reside in Irving, TX. Born and raised in the Dominican Republic and identify as Afro-Latinx. I am a Training Manager by day and Chandler (candle maker) by nights/weekends. 

I have always loved candles. The ambiance and vibe they promote around the house is something I have always enjoyed. The idea of becoming a chandler started as a hobby during the 2020 pandemic with a candle making starter kit. I was looking for a safe and fun activity to do from home, to help me stay away from the computer screen, the news and the discouraging statistics of Covid-19. I couldn't have planned for how entertaining and relaxing candle making could be. There is something special about being in the moment, creating and doing things with your hands, and let me not start with the wonderful feeling of lighting the first candle to actually come out great. 

Now, to be honest it took a lot of research, investment, trials and errors to come up with a solid product. Despite popular opinion, candle making takes more than just melting wax and adding fragrance, there is real science to it. But I became really passionate about the process of learning and discovering, and would effortlessly use any free time to learn and create. I am so excited to now be able to share this passion with you.

CandleWorks by Stacia is a home based candle company located in Irving, TX. I strive to provide memories, enjoyment and relaxation through high quality candles and melts.

The candles and melts are created in small batches, using a natural wax blend of coconut, soy and food grade paraffin. Our fragrances are carefully selected to ensure they are free of phthalates, carcinogens, reproductive toxins, and other potentially hazardous chemicals often found in fragrance. We also use lead free cotton wicks and reusable containers.
